    I’m using an up-to-date Leader theme. I’m trying to set a custom background image for my site using the customizer. The image displays fine when set as “fixed”, but when I set to “scroll”, the image becomes enlarged so that both the right and left side of the background are cut off. If I set the background size to “auto” it is too small, and if I set to “cover” (which is ideal) it is too large. If you check out the link to my site, you’ll notice that I’ve temporarily chosen the background position to display left (but this is the enlarged image), and the yellow gradient you see is supposed to be on both the right and left, and not stretch nearly as far into the center. The background image size is 1920×1080.

    I think this is an error with the site, where “cover” is not doing what it’s supposed to when a “scroll” background is selected. It only works when “fixed” is selected.

    Thanks

    Hello Avisysinc,

    Try inserting the following code in the Customizer > Live CSS:

    body{background-size: contain !important;}

    Then in the background image’s settings, set the background repeat to no-repeat, and the background attachment to fixed.

    Let us know if this does the job.
