Hello, I have some questions:
1- How i can set the homepage? I tried as you can see in my web an appears a blank space between the header and the first posts.
2- Where i can find the purchase code for the revolution slider?
3- I dont know if to use the Yoast Seo or the All in one Seo Pack, which do you recommend? Which tips with the plugin you recommend me?
4- I see that the text to code ratio is very low with this theme (5% and normally need to be 20% and over), i have been looking about this and i think the problem is the completely css is charged in the pages, and need to be inside the style.css no? or which can be the problem and how can be solved?
Thanks a lot.
08/02/2016 at 9:39 #1121Hello Daniel,
1. Go to Settings > Reading > Static Page. Here you can select a page from your site.
2. We added the Revolution Slider plugin as a bonus, as part of the extended license we acquired for our users – but it means you don’t have your own license in the plugin..
3. We recommend the Yoast SEO plugin, as you can read in our blog:
4. Are you referring to CSS codes that you inserted, or the default code?
08/02/2016 at 15:08 #1123Thanks a lot for your answer.
1- I have done what you tell me but its still the blank space between the header and the first posts.
4- I mean the default code yes, for example:
<style type=”text/css”>body{background-color: rgba(242, 242, 242, 1);background-position: top center;background-repeat: repeat;background-size: auto…………..
until
….nner .pb-widget-title span:before,#primary .theme-color-10 .pb-widget-inner .pb-widget-title span:before,#primary .theme-color-10 .widget-title span:before,#primary .theme-color-10 .pb-widget-inner .widget-title span:before {background-color: #FFBF00;}</style
10/02/2016 at 14:47 #11261. The space you’re referring to is actually the Title Bar, you can remove it by navigating to Theme Options > Content > Title Bar.
2. We don’t really understand the question :/
Could you send us a link or screenshot of what you see?
13/02/2016 at 22:08 #1133Hello,
1- I finally can change this space changing the height of the title bar, because if i remove it inside Theme Options > Content > Title Bar nothing changes. The problem is that there is a space and the title in the homepage as you can see. how i can fix this?
2- What i want to know if it is possible improve the text to code ratio doing something like embedding all the css inside styles.css or doing something with js files or something similar?
I want to ask you too about the “more” that appears in your demo at the right of each category (as you can see in the link down), this “more” dont link to nothing but i want to know if i can set it in my homepage and if it is possible that clicking it you can see more posts about the category…
Thanks a lot,
Dani15/02/2016 at 16:57 #11381. That’s strange, as it should work if you set to hide the Title Bar through Theme Options.
Did you maybe set the Title Bar to be visible in the page itself (Advanced Settings > Title Bar) ?
2. What exactly do you mean by “improve the text to code ratio”? You want to improve the site’s speed?
3. To what page exactly are you referring in the demo? This way we could check it out.
15/02/2016 at 19:02 #11391- I fix it going to General settings – breadcrumbs and setting it as “hide”, now the space is normal π
2- What I want to improve is this: http://tools.seochat.com/tools/code-to-text-ratio/ You can see an example here (the normal value is something over 20% and with your theme the average is 6%)
3- You can see an example here: https://pojo.me/demo/?theme=scoop , if you go to HOME 3 , and if you look at lifestyle and music categories at the top right with the words “MOREΒ»”.
16/02/2016 at 0:09 #11402- For explain you better: What i want is that all the javascript and CSS that is included in the template files are extracted to external files Javascript and CSS. All this with the purpose of keeping templates files as clean possible for improve SEO.
16/02/2016 at 8:49 #11412. Unfortuantely there isn’t a built-in option to do that, however you can use Cache plugins that allow minifying the code.
3. The “More” is the widget’s sub title.
Unfortuantely you can’t set a link only for the sub title, however if you set a link for the main title, it will also be set automatically on the sub title.
18/02/2016 at 13:59 #11502- You can see the problem when you look at the source code of my web or your demo in the browser, you can see all the css is included in it, you can see here in this .txt all the css that i am telling you in my web:
3- Thanks, is possible to show this subtitle in the same place but down of all the category posts? I show you and image:
21/02/2016 at 8:34 #11601. The CSS codes displayed there are actually the Customizer settings, in the future we will move them to a seperate CSS file.
2. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to move it, because it is set as part of the widget title π
21/02/2016 at 13:59 #11631- Yes please, will be great if you move this CSS code to a separate CSS file in your next update.
Thanks a lot.
06/04/2016 at 9:10 #1299Hello again π I see now in your demo of scoop that the css code from the customizer settings is only 25 lines of code and before was 100 lines more or less, you finally improve this no? When we will have and update with this change and others like separate CSS to an external file? Because I have some partners from a forum where i recommend your themes that they wait for this little improvements for buy the theme…And there are in the theme like 10 external stylesheets and 20 external Javascript scripts, if you can combine them into one CSS and one JS will be great π
Scoop it approaches the perfection theme, if you change this little things (that now a days are important because of pagespeed and the way the web is offered) will be the perfect THEME. You can offer in your web a donate button for example and if you improve this things I will be the first to donate some money for help you with your great work and motivate you π
Thanks,
Dani06/04/2016 at 14:45 #1304Hi Daniel,
The Demo is updated with our latest version.
May i ask in which theme you are using?
Please make sure you are using this version.07/04/2016 at 20:28 #1321Yes sure, is the Scoop Theme.
If you check the Scoop theme demo you will see the source code in the line 169 there is a stylesheet, and if you check the source code of my website there is the same stylesheet in the line 73 but is 5 times bigger…
Thanks π

10/04/2016 at 13:58 #13322 months before, I have the last version of scoop 2.5.0, is strange because i see this css code in the source code is different in the theme and in my website, can you take a look and let me know which is the “problem”? Thanks a lot π
