    Hi,

    When trying to update Revolution Slider I get the following error:
    “Not Acceptable!

    An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.”

    Seems like your web host is blocking this update, try asking them about this issue.

    Hi Noa,

    Bluehost suggested to try using a different browser.
    I tried the same in Explorer but got this message:

    This error (HTTP 406 Not Acceptable) means that Internet Explorer was able to receive information from the website you visited, but the information was not in a format that Internet Explorer can display.

    I don’t think it is a hosting issue, but a bad link to the upgrade facility.
    Please let me know how else I can upgrade the Revolution Slider.

    Hi,

    Here is what I got from Bluehost:

    I do see one flag in mod_security:

    Remote File Injection attempt in ARGS (admin.php) /wp-admin/admin.php

    Maybe that is rev slider? I don’t know if it is.

    I recommend you to contact rev slider for further assistance. This is not something we help with.

    Ok it seems that your server is blocking the update for some reason.

    So instead update RevSlider manually:

    Go to My Account > Downloads > Revolution Slider.

    Download the ZIP file then extract the RevSlider folder and upload it via FTP to the wp-content/plugins folder.

    This will overwrite the current Revslider folder.
