Hi there,
I’ve run into an issue where I can’t seem to get the date to show on the archive of my posts. Here’s exactly what I mean… The date is displayed on my main post page that I created using the posts widget in elementor. The date is shown because I chose the date to display on the elementor widget. But, if you go to the archive of posts (found in the sidebar at the bottom) the dates are not displayed on those posts in the indexed view, nor when you click on the post.
Under ‘Theme Settings > Content’ I have selected the date to be shown on every available drop down, but it does still not display. Can you help?
Thanks,

I have fixed it.
Note that you should have configured this directly in the widget itself.
If you go to Appearance > Widgets > Sidebar you will find in the Blog widget an option to show/hide date:18/01/2017 at 1:13 #2775Hi Boaz,
After re-reading my comment, I can see how you misunderstood me. I will try to be more clear. When I go to the sidebar and select any option from the dropdown menu, it takes me to an archived posts page for that month. But the problem is that none of the posts that are archived display the date. Dates are not shown in the archived posts, nor when you click to view the full post.

How can I display the dates?
18/01/2017 at 9:14 #2776Hi Bart,
It took me awhile, but I found the cause – this custom CSS:
header.entry-header {display: none!important;}
It simply hides the posts’ header which contains the date.
25/01/2017 at 19:19 #2826Hi Boaz,
Thanks for investigating, however that’s not quite right. The posts header simply contains the title of the post. You may have been deceived because the author often puts the date in the title, however that’s not where the date is displayed by default. Also, this does not fix the issue with dates being shown in the archive. Could it be that this theme is just missing the ability to display the date on each post? And if so, can this be corrected?
Thanks,

Did you try disabling this CSS line?
Cause when I do, this is the result:Or maybe I just don’t understand what you want to achieve..?
29/01/2017 at 18:00 #2843No, you’re right. I made the mistake of assuming you went ahead and disabled. It’s working now. Problem resolved. Thank you!
