    I do not have the option for thumbnails in my theme (toscana)

    In a gallery widget?

    I see you are working with child theme.
    Please try to switch to the main theme.
    Also, it will be better to update the required upgrades, at least WP and theme.

    If i go the main theme i will lose my customizations – so that is not a very good suggestion….

    I am keeping everything updated including the theme

    Are there any other suggestions?

    I’m asking you to switch to the main theme only to eliminate an option this is related to your child theme.
    You can switch it back after we will finish our query.

    I’m going to have to open a staging server just for this – i would prefer if you could run this test on your side

    Also, please not that in the admin in the theme options where the option for thumbnails should be i don’t have it

    It will take some time to create the staging server – I’m a bit disappointed from this solution but looks like this is what i have to do
